Hard Carbon Material
Description
This grade of material is comprised mainly of carbon with less graphite content than the CAG-grades. Its main field of application would be for slow moving contacts for Overhead Cranes. The collectors have the following characteristics:
- very high Shore Hardness, not suitable for Commutators,
- a low Current Density of 7 A/cm²,
- a high Co-efficient of Friction, and
- High Wear Resistance

Hard Grade – used for Over-head Crane Collectors as Low Speed Sliding Contacts
